Cortinarius archeri

In previous years I have sighted the odd, small, purple mushroom. Usually only one, and usually beneath Bracken making it hard to view or photograph. This year, we have a bonanza of purple mushrooms. Doing a Google search, I think it must be Cortinarius archeri but if you know of a similar looking species, please let me know.

The information I found did not specify a common name, but the bright purple colour certainly made the group of mushrooms stand out. Some of them are sizable, and the larger the mushroom, the paler the purple.
